The Barrier Island Bash, hosted on December 5, 2009 by STC, was a hit with over 100 people attending to support sea turtle conservation and local artists. The celebration focused on sea turtle conservation and environmental education at the Barrier Island Center in Melbourne Beach. Since 2008, STC has partnered with the Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands Program to provide ongoing educational programs that promote stewardship of sea turtles and the area's other fragile natural resources.
