Cumulative distance traveled: 1,958 km (1,217 miles)
Distance covered since last location: 0 km
Time tracked: 40 days
Notes: Luna finished 4th in the 2009 Tour de Turtles. Her transmitter appears to no longer be sending signals. Her last know location was off the Mid-Atlantic coast of the United States.

Update: Luna has been seen nesting at Chiriquí Beach during the start of the 2011 nesting season. We were all happy to see her again!

This map is updated with new points as soon as they are received by the Sea Turtle Conservancy. The turtle icon location point is the most recent location received for this turtle. If the most recent point is more than two months old, then the transmitter is most likely no longer working.
