What is included in the cost:

• First and last night hotel accommodations in the historic Gran Hotel Costa Rica in San José, including breakfast;
• Land and boat transport to Tortuguero, with breakfast en route;
• All meals and accommodations at the Field Station;
• A guided tour lead by a local naturalist (either a hike along a rainforest trail or a boat tour through the canal system);
• Return flight to San José on NatureAir (small propeller plane);
• All scheduled in-country transfers between airports and hotels.

What is not included in cost:

• Your round trip International Air Transportation to and from San José, Costa Rica;
• Items of a personal nature, such as laundry, phone calls and tips;
• Airport departure taxes (about $27), passport fees or fees not listed in the program;
• Meals in San José.

Cancellations & Refunds (for STC's portion of the Program Cost):

• A refund of STC's portion of the program cost, less a $100 administrative fee, will be made if cancellation is received in writing no less than 60 days prior to departure.

• Cancellations between 60 and 15 days prior to departure will have a 25% fee imposed unless a replacement is found.

• If a written cancellation is received less than 15 days prior to departure, a credit of STC's portion of the program cost, less a $100 administrative fee, is given towards a session at a later date.

Since the Program Cost includes in-country travel and accommodations in San José, until a program participant is registered with STC and has paid the required deposit, the travel portion of the Program Cost is subject to change.
