A leatherback encountered nesting on May 19, at 1:48 am. Curved shell length 145 cm, curved shell width 115 cm. Beyonce had a tough time in the ocean.  Researchers found that her keel ridge had damaged notches and scaring along the shell. There was also a notch missing out of her left front flipper.  It seemed that she may have encountered a fishing net or a boat’s propeller, but either way, based on her injuries, she's a lucky girl to be still swimming around in the ocean.
